And that’s a wrap for the Finnish Christmas Fair 2025!

We would like to express our warmest thanks to everyone who took part in the fair in various ways. We were delighted to welcome 5,146 visitors. A total of 681 raffle tickets were sold. In the café and at the grill, people enjoyed 89 portions of Christmas porridge and 279 of salmon soup, 923 cups of coffee, 1188 mugs of glögi, 1176 Karelian pies, 1863 sausages, and 2282 cinnamon buns. The church was filled with Christmas music, joyful chatter, reunions, new encounters, and a warm festive spirit. On the First Sunday of Advent, we sang “Hoosianna” amid the hustle and bustle, and on Independence Day, “Oi maamme Suomi, synnyinmaa” anthem rang out.

An amazing group of over 80 volunteers prepared the church for the fair, served visitors tirelessly with a smile, and cleaned everything up again for the following day. This year, it felt especially wonderful to have friends of Finland from many different nationalities among our volunteers! A huge thank you to each volunteer—you made this event such a great success. It was a true privilege to bring the Finnish Christmas Fair 2025 to life with you.

All proceeds from the fair will be used to support the work of the Finnish Church in London and, therefore, our community here in Britain: promoting holistic wellbeing and everyday safety, and strengthening compassion and mutual care among Finns and all friends of Finland. Thank you warmly for your support!

The next fair will take place on 20–22 March 2026 (the Easter Fair) – save the date!

If you would like to help make the fair happen and support our work in that way, keep an eye out for announcements in the spring. The more helping hands we have, the smoother everything will be.

For now, we’ll take a brief breather, tidy up, and get everything back in order so we’re ready for the Christmas season events beginning on Saturday, 13 December. You’re warmly welcome to visit after that!

Best regards,

The Elves of the Finnish Church in London ❤
